okay. there's this guy who has a crush on me and i sorrrta like him back. but the problem is, he's my best friend ever. and i don't like him as much as he likes me. so my other friend told him that i did, a lot, because she felt bad. he asked me about it, and i told him it was true because i felt bad, too. i lied and told him that i was in love with him but i didn't want a boyfriend. i know it's wrong, but i don't want to hurt him. please don't tell me to tell the truth, because i've tried that and i couldn't do it. i'm afraid the lie has gone too far. help please and God bless.

you don't want to hear this but honesty is the best policy especially with a good friend. he will be hurt for sure that you fibbed to him but it will be better than breaking his heart. if he is in love and you are not in love with him he will be devastated the longer you wait to tell him the worst it will hurt him. if you really care about your friend and don't want to hurt him even worse tell him now so he can adjust his feelings for you now before they grow even more good luck and god bless you

I know you don't want to hear this, but TELL THE TRUTH! Especially if you care about the guy. It will be hard, but you have to do it. It will hurt him, but imagine how much worse it will hurt him if you keep this up even longer and he finds out.

Just tell him that you like him, but don't want to be more than friends because you don't want to ruin the friendship that you have with him, and THEN you take your other friend aside and the him/her that what they did was wrong because now look at the mess.

Not sure why you told him you love him, but that wasn't smart. If you're not interested, date other guys & tell him about them (nice things). Guys don't want to hear about your dates with other men, so that should turn him off.
