Though I've been thrown several times by lightning, the most injuries from that I've had was a concussion. When I was a teenager I became very ill and was close to death's door. A few months later I became anorexic. In college, I had an allergic reaction to an antihistamine called Ornade. It closed my throat up almost completely and I couldn't breathe.

Yeah twice in a car accident the car almost fell off a steep cliff like hill. Then I almost drowned in rapids at Algonquin Park. Terrifying experiences both times

I came close to dieing after the birth of my first son. I had toxemia and my kidneys quit functioning. I was getting bigger and bigger like a balloon but then miraculously they started working again and I was Ok and had to have my blood pressure monitored for awhile too because that is another thing toxemia causes extremely high blood pressure.Thank God my baby was healthy. He was only not quite 6 lbs because he was delivered 3 weeks early because he was no longer receiving the nutrients he needed because of my body shutting down but he was perfectly healthy..

Once in 1993.
I was jacked in my car at gunpoint.
4am on a warm California summer night in late June.
2 Thugs in ski masks both carrying guns came to car.
I knew my life was over and my friend’s too who was in the passenger seat.
A gun at my head point blank (I could feel the barrel).
And another at my right hip as they told me to lay down face down on the ground.
I was surprised when they didn’t want my decked out car.
They just wanted the Blaupunkt radio and amp.
That incident turned my life around.
Scared Straight.
No more wild night in wild neighborhoods.
My fast life was going to lead to a fast death.
But of course since that incident I fear nothing.
Once you are that close to DEATH…fear leaves your mind forever.
If I walk down the street late at night and some thugs are headed my way, NO FEAR…I just nod and say “what up”…and keep walking.
