This is one of those things that can promote days-long debates on motorcycle message boards. I personally have not seen much to convince me that motorcycle oil is actually that much better than good quality car - or better yet, diesel truck - oil. I've got an old Honda myself ('79 CX500) and I've decided to use Shell Rotella T. Much cheaper than that $5/quart motorcycle oil!
