i just got to level 2 and nothing happened. what will happen and when?

Nothing will happen. I an in Level 5 with just a little over 300 points away from Level 6 right now. Nothing has ever happened when I get to a new level. Maybe you get some bragging rights

i got an opportunity to download an ask/answer/discover wallpaper.
It's not worth going up a level to find out what you get....
