Its no problem I call it a '' Crush'' . The ''Crush'' is one who comes along and protects you even guides you. I would wonder while looking at the person why is he/she here ?...Its a friend / companion forever . I have one myself its been 10 yrs. now . Its a man. We are both married and kids. My husband knows it and the wife of my ''Crush'' too. The hugs, kisses, chatting we have a good connection. And lots of friends know us too. But this is totally a different approach about loving some one. Its a beautiful feeling .

Why are you married to a man that is not involved with the kids? It is nobody's business who or why you are friends with anyone. You need to quit worrying about everyone's opinion of your friendships, and start worrying about what speculations are being made about your marriage. The constant presence of your friend my not be what everyone in town is talking about...it may be the absence of your husband.

maybe your friend is the one you should be married too not your husband. If your friend gets along better with the kids and spends time with them more and makes you happy in a fun way that your husband can't than yeah it's sad and bad.

It is not bad. Friends are difficult to find and easy to lose. Your male friend is probably having sexual fantasies about your body right now as you are having about him.

Stay cool and do not let the fantasies get too close or else it will cost you a marriage.

Or be real discrete. remember according to Bill Clinton, a BJ isn't sex.

You're playing with fire, and you know it. Likely you are secretly sexually attracted to this man. Unless he is gay, this scenario is not going to have a happy ending. You are putting this man in the role of father-substitute. Either your husband gets involves in your life, and your kids' lives, or you may have to make a choice.

it's not bad... but people will always talk.
I am married and my best friend is a single girl and we have had problems with people talking about it for our entire friendship. My wife (of 11 years) doesn't have a problem with it (she is friends with her too).
What's important is that you, your friend, and your husband all know the truth and are honest.
You can't help or change what everyone else thinks.
I feel for you... good luck.

perception is a bummer, if u liv in a small town and everyones talking about u, u already hav a perception problem.

for the sake of ur marriage, talk 2 ur hubs, let him know how u feel and his "shortcomings". this aint to say that we cant have friends of the opposite sex, but this sounds like ur friend is substituting for something that ur hubs should fulfill.

it could lead to trouble.

It's not if your husband in not upset about it, then you should not worrie about it either, people are going to talk, that is just the way they are, no matter what you are doing, Girl just let them talk and evetually they will find someone else that is doing something worth talking about

You first have to ask yourself why isn't my husband interested in sharing in the same types of activities. How does he feel about your guy pal, taking his roll? Then, perhaps, ask yourself and your guy pal this question: "where do I want to take this relationship".

If your parents are still living I would ask them, their opinion.

After that you should know who the closest members feel...

"Cesar`'s wife not only has to be it, but it also has to show it", besides there is no such thing as a sexless, at what ever level, friendship relationship between a straight man and woman, be careful, you might not have realized yet, but if you keep this up, it will soon turn into something else.
