Ummmmmmm, no. I think that all humans have never ending desires but this story is an interesting, thought-provoking read on fulfillment in life:
The 99 club…
Once upon a time, there lived a King who, despite his luxurious
lifestyle, was neither happy nor content.
One day, the King came upon a servant who was singing happily while he
worked. This fascinated the King; why was he, the Supreme Ruler of the
Land, unhappy and gloomy, while a lowly servant had so much joy.
The King asked the servant, "Why are you so happy?"
The man replied, "Your Majesty, I am nothing but a servant, but my
family and I don't need too much - just a roof over our heads and warm
food to fill our tummies."
The king was not satisfied with that reply. Later in the day, he sought
the advice of his most trusted advisor. After hearing the King's woes
and the servant's story, the advisor said, "Your Majesty, I believe
that the servant has not been made part of The 99 Club."
"The 99 Club? And what exactly is that?" the King inquired.
The advisor replied, "Your Majesty, to truly know what The 99 Club is,
place 99 Gold coins in a bag and leave it at this servant's doorstep."
When the servant saw the bag, he took it into his house. When he opened
the bag, he let out a great shout of joy... So many gold coins!
He began to count them. After several counts, he was at last convinced
that there were 99 coins. He wondered, "What could've happened to that
last gold coin? Surely, no one would leave 99 coins!
"He looked everywhere he could, but that final coin was elusive.
Finally, exhausted, he decided that he was going to have to work harder
than ever to earn that gold coin and complete his collection.
From that day, the servant's life was changed. He was overworked,
horribly grumpy, and castigated his family for not helping him make
that 100th gold coin. He stopped singing while he worked.
Witnessing this drastic transformation, the King was puzzled. When he
sought his adviser's help, the advisor said, "Your Majesty, the servant
has now officially joined The 99 Club."
He continued, "The 99 Club is a name given to those people who have
enough to be happy but are never contented, because they're always
yearning and striving for that extra 1 telling to themselves: Let me
get that one final thing and then I will be happy for life."
We can be happy, even with very little in our lives, but the minute
we're given something bigger and better, we want even more! We lose our
sleep, our happiness, we hurt the people around us; all these as a
price for our growing needs and desires. That's what joining The 99
Club is all about.

If I were to have answered this a few years ago, it would have been emphatically NO.
Today however I can truly, honestly say...yes indeed! If I had to say one thing to anyone about fulfillment it would be...if you aren't there yet, don't give up because you will be eventually and you'll look back on those unfulfilled times and see how much you now have to be thankful, grateful and appreciative of.
That doesn't mean that I am barred from striving for further fulfillment or different fulfillment, it just means I am where I want to be at this point in time. As an individual I can change my level of fulfillment whenever, however or wherever I wish to. It's all in how you look at things. Goals set and reached are fulfillment, so we can experience true fulfillment numerous times in our lives or not at all. It's all what you do with what you have and then choosing where else you want to be and "just doing it!".

I always said that all I wanted was to be a wife and mother. I have 14 year old twins and was divorced when they were 4. It took a long time for me to find my way, but Aug 31 I'll be married 2 years to the best guy in the world. We live in my dream house and I am pregnant and due Feb 2, 2007. I love my life and I am finally fullfilled.

I am mostly fulfilled because I do what I love for a living. However, there are some gaps I'm working on. When choosing a career, don't work to live, live to work. I didn't do this the first time around, so I went back to school and to finish my degree so I could do what most people dream about doing: I write.
If you want to be fulfilled, chose a career you love and that means something to you and helps other people. Chose a partner who shares your passion for life and your dreams. This doesn't mean you have to do the same thing, you just have to have the same ideals. Surround yourself with people who matter and let go of those who drain you, even if it means letting go of those who are closest to you.
Can't really top the 99 club story!

Yes, everything that I have ever wanted and prayed for, God has given me.
An awesome husband who seems to have been tailor made for me, three fabulous children who are too much for words, the dog that I never had as a kid, the nice car that was given to our small little family totally free and clear - a cadillac sedan with only 24,000 miles on it -- hey, I was just praying for a car, and this is what God gave me -- without a single dollar being owed on it. And then just three months ago, we moved into our first house. A four-bedroom, two bathroom with a huge fenced in back yard in a nice, quiet neighborhood with an attached garage. I stood in front of this house on move-in day and burst into tears. I never would have thought to ask God for such a house, but He gave it to me anyway. And then I realised, I have been drawing pictures of a house strikingly similar to this house since I was three years old.
Never let it be said that God doesn't speak to children.

EVERY NIGHT!!!
no, really, I don't think I'll ever be trully satisfied in the sense that I just want to sit back and do nothing because I am continually striving to become closer to God and His heart. I want to know what his purpose for me is. However, I'm always happy and my life is really great, so I guess I'm satisfied.
