well, it used to be where my b/f and i would go at it like rabbits at least, AT THE VERY LEAST, 4-5 TIMES A DAY but now, since we are so busy with our careers, we can only manage 3-4 times in a week(major change huh?), but my b/f's cousin(who is married with one child who is about 6mo. old.) and his wife are having major problems. she completely lost her sex drive after the baby and now he's coming to us for advice. this is common for a woman to feel this way though. after pushing a watermelon out of her vagina, would you want the same thing that caused it to go back in...it's almost playing with fire! while hormones are still trying to balance themselves. give it time...take your mind off of everything that stresses you...i suggest you take time off of everything and everyone and establish exactly what you would like to accomplish in this relationship. then bring it up with your significant other by stating your problems and eventually either coping with them or getting past them.

No mines still firing on all cyclinders thanks. 4 kids and long relationship all still good. Help, what kinda help you after? If ya run down take some vitamins, they can help. Get other family members to take the kids for a regular time if they can to give you a break, if only for an hour or so. Take some time out for you and ya hubby/partner. Make time for sex, otherwise you may loose it for the both of you. All the best.

I just read an article at my drs office about this yesterday. The article said that there are a few reasons this happens...

1. Hormones

2. The physical exhustion that happens when a woman is caring for a family either full time or on top of working.

3. The fear of getting pregnant. This was the most interesting one to me. The article stated that when a woman is preoccupied by a fear of getting pregnant, that eventually your body will begin to kill your sex drive. It's the body's solution for getting rid of the stress/fear the woman is feeling. It happens without the woman knowing it. They suggested one of the partners getting fixed or doubling up on birth control methods.

4. Feeling undesirable due to the postpartum body changes. The article stated that woman felt more inclined towards sex when they found time to walk and/or lift weights. The weight lifting provided measurable results as the women were able to lift heavier weights.

No I didn't after my daughter. After her we worked to have another one right away, seeing my daughter and my husband made me more attracted to him then ever and we probably went at it everyday. As for now I'm 39 wks pregnant and have lost some sort of interest but we still have sex 4-5 times a week. I hope it doesn;t change after this baby because it has kept our marriage strong.

A lack of sex is probably a sign of a relationship problem, not a sex problem.

Do you feel intimately loved and cherished? Does he look into your eyes like your the best thing he's ever seen. Are you taking care of yourself with exercising 3 times per week? Is the rest of your life happy and in balance?

Different issues for some marriages. I read an old article in Dear Abby about a woman in her 70s who could not undress in her bedroom because her husband loved to see her naked. If those older women at your job think sex is a chore maybe they need some spiked drink to get their tired bodies up. Now, older people are having more sex then younger people. Plus having sexual transmitted diseases too. These are people in the age group of 55 and up. Girl, if your marriage is good and like Dr. Ruth says, "you are having good sex", - forget about those women! Enjoy your man!

No, I haven't lost my sex drive. It's just that after cleaning the house, working, groceries, laundry and working around the kids schedules sometimes I am just too tired.

This shouldn't be happening. Are you just tired? Do you fear getting pregnant again? Are you bored with your sex life?

If you are definately losing interest, talk to your Dr. Your hormones are not quite right & he can help you get back on track.
