Has any of you ever taken a pregnancy test that said positive, but it turned out you really weren't pregnant?

There is a possibility.If you had taken fertility medication which contains HCG (example:Profasi, Pregnyl,Novarel) that can cause a false positive on a home pregnancy test. Hydatidiform Mole (Molar Pregnancy) ,ovarian tumor (cancerous or non-cancerous) or some kind of cancer such as cancer of the stomach, pancreas, large intestine, liver, or lung produces HCG which could also give a false positive pregnancy result. (False positive means you have positive pregnancy test yet you are not pregnant.)

False negative tests are more likely than false positive tests because it's the hormone reaction that make the test turn colors... no hormone = no + on the test result.
I have not heard of a false positive pregnancy test result.

No, but I have had it happen the other way around, where the test said I wasn't but I really was. The blood test with the doctor was negative too, I guess it was just too early to tell at that point.

I've never heard a false positive test result. There are however bigger odds someone might get false negative.

I've seen this several times. I do not remember the brand of them though. however I've also see tests that show not pregnant at 3 mos along. Best thing. go to th Dr.

yes i have also takenone one that said i wasn't and here i am just over a year later with a bautiful 8 month old baby girl

no i never have i don't think you can get a false positive only a false negative
