No matter which PDA you select, the reality is that surfing the net on a smartphone is not very comfortable. It can be done, but for a short time, mostly due to the small screen, and also the fact that Web pages do not appear properly on a smartphone.

I would go for the Treo 650 or Blackberry or...if you can wait....Palm should be releasing a new treo for Cingular in a few months.

I just bought a Cingular 8125. It works as well as any other PDA for internet surfing. It does have WIFI buildin so the speed is not an issue when you are in a hotspot. Cingular does not offer EDGE in my area so I did not try it.

Check out the Cingular 8125. Love the slide-out keyboard, wi-fi, EDGE, bluetooth, and great screen. Plus, you can watch video and listen to music.

If you're more a Blackberry fan, then definitely check out the 8700 series.
