well at your next ob appointment, ask the doctor if you measure the same or a little less than at the last one (meaning the uterus has dropped). You can also tell if you have a constant feeling of having to pee (but you really don't have to go), and you can breathe better than before. It's not necessarily to early for this to happen, it doesnt' mean that you're going to go into labor TODAY. It could be 5 more weeks.

Have you had a sonogram and seen the position of the baby? All of my children were breech and they start really kicking downwards between 30-32 weeks. It may feel like scratching because the baby is getting bigger and can't move around as well as he/she used to.

I'm 32 weeks now and my tummy has dropped a little. You CAN start 'dropping' some around now, and it's normal for the baby to be in the 'engaged' or upside down position. Just because he/she is there doesn't mean it's time to go into labor, he can sit on your cervix for a long time before that happens.

I have dropped but nothing happening and I am 36 weeks so it doesn't always mean bad - Your baby is doing what is right and if they are off by the "2 week" margin on you then you really could be closer to 34 weeks. But, if you are concerned about anything you should call and talk to the nurse at your doctors office. They are usually VERY good about helping and very cautious if they think you need to be seen they will tell you to come in.

I just had my daughter usually when the baby drops you will have pressure on your bladder or pelvis. When the baby is on your cervix usually that is seconds away from delivery. When the baby drops you will have to pee constantly and it will almost feel like a bladder infection because of the pressure. This happened for me around around 34 weeks and got worse the bigger she got.The further into the pregnancy you get the weirder sensations you will have.I went from belly under my breasts to 3 inches lower (you normally can see the difference)

Usually you can tell the baby has dropped by the need to urinate more frequently, and it can be more difficult to walk or sit with your legs closed. Another sign is the ability to eat more and breathing should be easier. This will sound weird but if the baby has dropped, your belly can look further away than you're used to when you look down at it. I would recommend calling your doctor and speaking to at least the nurse. They are very familiar with your pregnancy and should be able to tell you if you should worry or not. Good Luck
