Always be ready for that kick in the teeth, because it's coming. Even when things are great, always be ready. It will still hurt, but you'll know how to deal with it when it comes and at the same time you will never take happiness for granted.
"The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man — and give some back."

I have often wondered the same thing. The only conclusion I could come to is that things happen to teach us lessons. I don't understand why really crappy things have to happen, especially at the worst possible times, but it does seem that I have learned something useful from every bad situation I have ever been in. Of course, I don't realize it until a while later. But you know, sometimes you just get sick of it and wish something good would happen for a change!! I hope whatever happened to you will get better soon. Hang in there!

The only thing I can say and I have to believe it otherwise I would get so depressed that I would end up in the hospital.

Everything happens for a reason and God does not put more on your plate then you can handle.
It is just how you handle it that keeps you from going crazy or giving up.
Things in my life have happened that I do not understand and I use to ask God " why me".
God has a plan for us all and you just have to learn not to question him. To do the best you can with the hand that you are dealt.
Learn not to sweat the small stuff. And learn how to not clutter your mind with things that don't really matter.

To make you realise how strong you are. When you look back on the thing that "kicked you in the teeth" say, six months down the line, you realise that you coped. Life threw some c**p at you and you coped! Hey, you're here aren't you. You made it this far. Who is to say you can't get over this little ripple?

In the teeth? Ouch.

I don't know. Because you're in a trance, waiting for the thing to happen then you drift off and then, BAM! It kicks you "right in the teeth".
