A lot of people do not know this but an air conditioner does not make cold, it only removes heat. If you air conditioner is clean and properly charged, you are gaining more heat than you are able to remove.

Try covering the windows (closing the blinds/curtains), weatherstrip doors and windows etc. Anything you can do to keep the heat out equals less heat you have to remove. Less heat equals cool air.

There are too many possible answers to the problem to cover here. As a start, did it ever do better? Are both the inside and outside units running? Any circuit breaker tripped?

if its blowing cold air there's some wrong with thermostat. get thermometer beside thermostat. if ac runs normal to keep steady temp. its ok. find highest comfy setting 4u & save $ & limited natural resources.
