my god that is the truest statement that I have heard in awhile. I work out every night and the only thing that has been consistent between cnn and espn is the fact that no one can let go that mel gibson has got caught drinking and driving.... we are getting ready for a major war and all people can do is watch tv or read about mel gibson.... were not shallow

I say he's no more different than anyone else , save for the fact that he is an actor that does his job exceptionally well . But that should have nothing to do with him getting a DUI . There has always got to be someone getting into other peoples business , it's in the human nature .

i do not think they are overdoing it, and for some reason i think that he wanted this, to promote his new movie and that documentary thing he is planning.
And this is just my opinion: Why is he apologizing, he was drunk and it is not illegal to express yourself in the US, i know he is a celebrity and everything but they are not perfect. So he does not like Jews big deal, i hate rodeos.

Persecution plain & simple. They want to "crucify" him for his doing "Passion of the Christ." Goes against the Hollywood establishment. He uttered some stupid & dispicable comments while he was drunk. Has anyone heard of the Muslim guy in the state of Washington who walked into a church, pronounced he was Muslim & started shooting?

didn't think so...
