Yoghurt is a hard one. I once had a food fight with yoghurt - very messy .............
It wasn't my house tho!
However, my suggestion would be to wash thoroughly with warm soapy water (check first for colour fastness) , dry with towel, cover the area with a few sheets of kitchen roll, place a few heavy books on top. the kitchen roll will suck up the rest.

Give it a good scrub with soapy water and dry with a towel. Later sprinkle carpet cologne on it.

Keep cleaning it with a wet cloth, sevrel times. After use febreeze.... But if you clean it properly you shouldn't need it!
