I enjoy making wreaths -- I get a ton of compliments on them from the neighbors -- but I just make them for myself. They're really easy -- buy a straw wreath, and about 3 yards of fabric (for a large one) -- cut the fabric into 2"x2" squares -- using a phillips head screw driver press the center of the fabric square into the wreath leaving all the corners up (leave the plastic wrapper on). Cover the entire wreath or at least the front -- have a very pretty look -- you can use patterned fabric, multiple colors whatever you like.

I think my name says it all. You can start small and work your way up. There are several patterns for Christmas designs, for example, and there are small plastic frames (about 2 inches). I have used the very small designs, put them in the frames, and sold them as Christmas ornaments at my sorority's Christmas Bazaar. They're also good to tie on to Christmas packages.

Once you've worked your way up and feel comfortable doing it, there is also a product called waste canvas. You center it on a piece of fabric or clothing, such as a t-shirt or sweatshirt, and work your design on that. Then you wet the canvas, pull it off strand by strand, and the design is left on the shirt!

Get an empy picture frame that's nice.

Do a collage in whatever medium you like and put it inside the frame.

Trim lampshades with beads, sequins, buttons, etc. and sell those.

Buy some inexpensive wallets or purses and decorate those.

Stencil some t-shirts.
