....the marketing of, and the profit machine of music (and maybe film too).
Wouldn't it be great not to be able to mentally recall irritating, feel good music? Or not to have an era defined by the sound at that time of the most popular band?
Do you think people would have to compensate somehow for the loss of noise we're used to? Or would we be much better off?

I don't think we'd be better off. Things aren't marketed for no reason, they're marketed because people WANT them, where there's a want or a need there is some guy (or girl) that has already come up with the idea for a solution.
So no serenity, without music there would be anarcy, that is only if you suddenly got rid of it now, but if we had grown up in a world without music, we wouldn't know, but then we would be deprieved.
But then again, does the music nowadays CAUSE anarcju? That is a question for another question. Lol!

But your kind of boring not to enjoy any music....

We once made our own noise. Now technology allows everyone to exchange their noise and also allows marketing noise for profit.

It was all over when the ringer telephone violated the privacy of the individual. It by passed the individuals ability to be selective about who and what was invited into ones existence.

Now we have mass marketing where wants are created for goods, services and entertainment. These are supplied to people who only want the desires that have been created for them.

Are you beginning to realize how badly you have been taken.

Music has been around since the first cave man hit two rocks together and thought, "That sounds nice!" It's never going away! Although I agree some of it should!! Music is language, and will always be part of our existence!

no it would not be great. it would be ****. even if that song you find yourself singing is absolute garbage. music can define important moments in a persons life be it happy or sad, music brings people together,it is a way of communication, everyone can relate to music no matter what culture you are from.
