It hurts when I press into the soft tissue under behind my jawbone, and I'm afraid that it's my lymph node being swollen. Should I see a doctor?

How old are you?
It can be a simple flu (lymph node as you say) or just some tooth.
Anyway don’t worry and wait, generally it stops among some week.

your going to feel like an idiot if you go to the Doctors and find out its a swollen gland.... give it another day, if it still hurts tomorrow, then go see the Doctor.
