I am a die hard yankees fan.... i can let you all either praise me or debate me on this but dont turn the Yankees buy all thier players... about half thier team is from the farm system... posada, jeter, williams, crosby, phillips, cabera, matsui, wang, mariano, cano are all players that have only been on yankees anf brough up through yankees and werent taken from any team... just to punch out that whole "yankees just buy all thier players from other teams" debate or whatever...

to that one guy who said that thing bout matsui.. i said that they have never played with any other team other than the yankees in mlb... mainly because of him everyone else was through a farm system but matsui yes but still he has never been on any other team hes a straight yankee

ok all the people i listed have never played with another team but the yankees coming either through thier farm system or like matsui coming from japan stright to the yankees... they bought damon arod giambi sheffield and mussina... they traded for abreu and randy johnson... thats it thats 10-5 of yankees to bought and a 10-7 of originals to aquired... no way you can say they bought thier team... those are all the bigger players the tanyon sturtze, and crappy players that dont do anything arent mentioned

Guy, Red Sox fan here...Matsui did not come from the Yankees farm system. He played in Japan before coming to the Yankees.

The Yankees! Just like the quote about The City says "If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere." I definitely agree with the guy who said it's not really a rivalry. The Sox are just the Yankees doormat to the playoffs.
And as for the guy who said the Cubs? How quaint. When did they last win a Series?

Red Sox and I agree with you about getting players, developing their talents in the minors and bringing the up when they are ready.
This is what the Kansas City Royals did in the 70's George Brett, Hal Mccrae etc.
Red Sox were asked if they wanted to trade some of their young talent but Theo is looking long term not short term getting to the World Series now
