Since of course the religion is left up to interpretation so much, so many of them seem like they are always on the look out to see who is a real christian and a competition to see who is the most christian...... They all of course think anyone who doesn't think like them will go to hell.--That much they do have in common.
But is this a good thing?
Is this why there are so many denominations in the Christian church? Once one group doesn't like the other's rules, they start a whole new church?

People have their own ideas about salvation and I think that it is every reason why Christianity is not a unified church. Over the past 500 years that's pretty much the way it has been. It's so bad now that the original Chirstian church no longer exists as the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches have become denominations in themselves. The more recent movement is the non denominational churches who strive to bring Christianity together in the way it was intended. Personally, it's not good that Christians have been divided over their beliefs, and it seems like the only way to improve it is to narrow down the bare facts that unify the church, down to what is believed, and what it takes to be saved.

I'm not nor have I ever been.
We are to only interpret that which not plainly stated and what isn't plainly stated is not that important.
I don't want you to think like me, one of that is enough, find your own way to the cross.
Pride makes for denominations and therefore divisions, God doesn't sanction a denomination.

The contest has always been about the prize: an all expense paid date with Jesus. Includes dinner, a cruise, and a hot tub. Whoo hoo!

Do you really care? From your other questions you seem to be another Atheist crusader trying to convert people to your religion of non-belief and secular humanism. Why do atheist's always try to outdo each other on yahoo answers?

Why do so many non Christians find tiresome little gripes and go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on? If you don't like it leave it alone. I don't like fish, but I do not constantly harp about what's wrong with fish. I avoid it, but I don't make it my lifes work to whine about what I don't like about fish day in and day out!
