Uhh thansk for the info some of you guys.

My question wasnt as far as "how long can i keep breaking the law".............the question was due to the fact that although it's true both my registration and inspection expired end of last month, i got the ticket last night and was wondering if i could get a ticket on the way to get the car inspected today.............sounds like some people love passing judgements,

just take care of it!!! it almost seems like your question is "how long can I break the law because I'm too cheap to deal with the responsibility of having a car, but still want the benefits" The law is the law, don't push it!

Please keep in mind that these tickets can also effect your ability to keep your driver's license. Driving on an expired registration and/or inspection tag is technically a *moving* violation, and can result in points on your license.

Pay for your registration/inspection, pay the tickets, and avoid this sort of trouble in the future by keeping on top of your registration renewals....otherwise, get rid of the car (as it's obviously too much work for you).

no there is no limit. cops can give you two tickets in the same day for the same thing if they wanted to. Most of the time they will show some mercy and not give it to you if you have just gotten one for the same thing. but, also, since you were in a different city, they might not even consider that. every city has a different police precinct and they might just see it as another way to make some money and meet their quota.

In the state of Texas there is no grace period, if you get a ticket for those things, you are supposed to have them fixed immediately. If you got another ticket in another city for the same thing you have to pay them both...sorry but its the truth

You can get several tickets, there is no waiting period. It is up to the cop if he will let you go or not.
