"Imagine there's no possessions" but he lived in multi million dollar condo in NYC...He totally ignored his first child but told everyone that "Love is all you need." I don't get it?

Because he was human and had an ego as well. Everyone really does look out for #1, but that doesn't mean that you can't be an idealist. Everyone is a hypocrite - it's the distance between reality and our aspirations.
Besides, he was very young when he did a lot of the things he did, and he had more notoriety and power than most have - so he abused that power, and lived and acted selfishly. It happens.
It's sad about Julian though.

It's just lyrics to songs.....people have good days and bad and their music reflects that.....The media made him out to be superhuman...but he was just a man.
