What is better?: to do what you have been told to do because you are afraid to say no to others or to be free and to risk hardships in your life?

There is fear in the uncertainties accosciated with freedom.

So really you can not ever really avoid fear or uncertainty.

Being brave is not the absence of fear, but rather learning to cope with fear, to not let it paralyze you.

Given that realization, I would think the fears of freedom are better than the fears of bondage.

be free and risk the hardships of life because its better that you learn things on your own, because thats how you learn to be a better person.

to be free and to risk hardships in my life is better than doing things with fear.

It is better to evaluate each situation and decide which action will best meet your goals.

It is a mistake to do something because of social pressure. But sometimes people resist doing what others say just because others say it. Avoid this error also.
