people who's only interest is in making a quick buck! I don't blame the fashion industry, because it is the parents fault for buying them. There would not be a market for such trash if all of the wimpy parents would stop letting their kids run the show. It's sad that parents are more interested in being their kids buddy, and less interested in being their parent. It's great when you can be both, but when you can't be the darn adult and use what is suppose to be your many years of wisdom and make the adult decisions that affect you kids life, because when you don't, society as a whole pays the price!

I wholeheartedly agree! We went to a water park a couple of weeks ago and I was appalled by the skimpy bikinis on preteens and young teens. My 13 year old granddaughter wanted some pants with princess printed on the rear. Thank God her parents agree that a girl her age doesn't need to be drawing attention to that part of her anatomy. It's just as bad with the boys wearing their pants so their underwear is showing. When my sons were growing up (they're now 27 and 32) it was understood that there were certain things we wouldn't buy for them. They got some trendy clothes, but nothing that made them look like bums.

I would love to know the answer to that!! My sister and I were at a festival this past weekend and girl that looked about 12 or 13 y.o. and was overweight was wearing tight clothes and a top that she could barely keep on. PARENTS!!!!! Wake up!! Why do you buy these things for your children? You are forcing them to deal with issues of sexuality long before they need to. What we need to be enforcing here is personal responsibility and the affect outerwear has on people's perceptions. I have a two y.o. daughter and I hate to think about what kind of nonsense she will try to put over on me but its not going to work. I don't take any nonsense. I'm the parent and I make the final decisions in my house. PERIOD!! Its one thing to allow your child to partake in some decisions and another to allow them to run buck wild.

I hate to see these lottle kids carrying around these expensive purses, or wearing clothes really made for adults. Kids just want to be like adults or teens, but they should wait. You shouldn't see a sexy 8 year old. The parents buy them to made the kids happy, but they really should think about it more.

I like my kids to be "in style" too. I will not dress my 2 year old daughter in clothes to make her look like a little prostitute, but I do think the jeans and tops out there for little girls are just adorable. As long as its tasteful, I have no problem dressing my kids in clothes I would wear.

I can tell you who's buying them - the lunitic mothers that put their daughters in those idiotic child beauty pageants! How's THAT for making your 3 year old think it's all about the beauty? Man, I hate seeing those shows. Talk about filling your kids mind with garbage, not to mention making your 5 year old look like she's 25. Lord Jesus - don't get me started. Good question though! : )

Parents today want to be their children's "friends" and not their parents. The kids see how people dress on TV and in magazines, and they want to be just like the big stars. So they whine to their parents for skimpy outfits, and the parents, in an effort to keep their kids happy, don't have the backbone to tell them NO.

I know, right! I have seen outfits for girl's my daughter's age (8) that look like they were made for hookers! Unfortunately I have seen little girls wearing them too. then 10 years from now their parents will be crying about they do not know where they went wrong.
