2: i'v been heartbroken for awhile now since my last boyfriend cheated on me.
3:my friend thinks if i'm going to be cool i have to be popular, is that right?

You need to be comfortable with yourself. Relationships do not always last and the important part of them is that You gain from them. Your understanding of life changes as you have more experiences. Your first obligation is to yourself. Do not make yourself an object. Those around you tend to use you without your even realizing what they are doing. Cheating is something guys do without thinking. Some girls also cheat but that just shows the relationship is not right. Instead of being depressed over it be glad it ended early. You have a wonderful life ahead of you just set your goals and work towards them. Take the stumbles that may come along and get up and go forward with your life. Learn from mistakes and strengthen your resolve to do what you want.

I'm sorry your boyfriend cheated on you. Been there done that when I was your age (I'm an old fart now. lol). Just be kind to yourself and give yourself time to heal. And don't judge yourself based on that experience. Just because it didn't work doesn't mean there was anything wrong with you. But you will get over him. Day by day the pain will lessen. Just give yourself time, but try not to let yourself wallow in it for too long. I find that I tend to hold on hurts longer than I should because I refuse to let them go. It's hard when you have no closure. Get up and move on. Refuse to let him keep you down, honey! ;)
3-- I never did buy into that mind frame in high schoo. No, I wasn't very popular, but I didn't care. I did what I wanted and walked ot the beat of my own drummer. Make yourself happy, honey, and forget what everyone says is "cool" or not cool. It's about what makes YOU happy, and let's face it, everybody's different. and that's perfectly okay. You can't be everything to everybody, but you can be the world to just one person, you know? Make YOU happy, BE happy and you'll be cool.

You dont have to be popular b/c once you get out of high school the popularity game is over. & about your boyfriend im sorry to hear that he cheated on you. I know how that feels trust me. But i think you should move on. I know it wont be easy but slowly get over him. If you have pix of him or stuff just put them away and stuff and dont look at them for a while. Trust it is going to seem inpossible right now but in a couple weeks if you try to slowly get over him you will start to feel stronger. Tell me how it works out for you..

Ther are other boys out there.. don't worry about him, that is over now.
Also all you need is one, two, or three good friends.. don't worry about being popular, be open to letting more girls into your circle.. Laugh and have fun. People will want to be with you if you are genuine Life is too short!

If that's what your friend told you, you should ask yourself: is she really your friend?...a good friend doesn't tell you to be popular so you can pass a difficult moment, she needs to be there for you and give you good avices, not tell you to hang over a bridge to attract people's attention, for example.That's what I think, now it's up to you to decide :)

No, you don't have to be popular to be cool...look at it this way ...people who are answering your questions are your friends...and your cool for being who you are....smile more,it's free..... he probably lost a cool chic like you...his lost...later.
