it is an accurate statement. it is in deed a hard and long road called life for the average pimp. its hard keep you're prostitutes in line. they're are not exactly the cream of the crop when dealing with society. they can be hateful and decitful. from time to time they need to be slapped, choked out, spanked, whipped, tied up, etc.(you get the idea). sometimes the money is not so good. thats when one must step there game up and expand there territory.

Just to clear up the lyrics for all that care the first part goes:

You know it's hard out here for a pimp (you ain't knowin)
When he tryin to get this money for the rent (you ain't knowin)
For the Cadillacs and gas money spent (you ain't knowin)
[1] Because a whole lot of b*ches talkin sh*t (you ain't knowin)
[2] Will have a whole lot of b*tches talkin sh*t (you ain't knowin

Sure it is hard out here for pimps, cause they are usually frowned upon by society. It is just a movie and a song, don't take things quite so literally from films.

I think its ridiculous that that was an Oscar winning song!

And, sure, it may be hard, but they made it hard for themselves. Get a real job, with benefits, go to college, do something with your life than destroying the lives and society of others.

I disagree
it is wrong and promotes the demoralization of women and society in general

the fact that this song won an Oscar only shows how far down our society has fallen...

LOL Are you sh*ttin' me? You HAVE to be.

This crap won an OSCAR? Ohmigawd!!!! That is the dumbest thing I ever heard. There is nothing socially reeeming about this "song". Hell in a hand-basket...that's where we're headed.
