ok i bought a belkin wireless 54g router i think it is and i cannot set it up...on the installation it shows a computer that the wireless router connects through a ethernet cable...but normally my modem connects through a usb cable 2 the back of my cpu...it does not show how 2 set up 1 with a usb cable and the router does not have a usb port just ethernet...how do if fix this??

the moden should have a ethernet port.
buy an ethernet cable from store n connect the router to the modem. it'll cost less than 5 bux.

You must use the ethernet port from the router to your computer. Hopefully your computer has an ethernet port already. Just use the cable supplied and plug the computer in. If you are lucky then the default settings will just work. If you do not have an ethernet port on your computer you can add one by either buying a card or going to garage sales to find one. Even if you have to take someones old computer and take the card out of it.

Any computer newer than 3 years or so will have an ethernet port build in.

Do not use USB to connect the modem to the router. Just use a Cat5 Ethernet cable, it will work.

If your modem doesn't have an RJ-45 port, you'll need to replace it with one that does. You can't connect that router to a USB only modem.
