We are told that we are free. But we are free FROM many things and not free FOR many things. For example, you are free FROM Buddhism, you are free FROM oral sex, you are free FROM anoying ex-boyfriend, you are FREE from this or that.
In fact, you are free from what has been told to you that is not good and you are free to do things that you have been told that are good.
Let us say that you are in love and you have good boyfriend. You are told that you are free to love him and be only with him but what if you like to change something in your love life?
or you are free to vote for your political party but can you vote for the opposite party?
or you are free NOT to live with your parents. But what if you want to help them and live with them?
You are free to do what has been told to you that is good. What if you want to do or be such person that others so hard try to make you see that is forbidden?

Freedom? Are you kidding? We are free from raids on our homes ... no, wait, our president said it is OK for the government to raid a person's home based simply on suspicion, warranted or otherwise. But, we're free from invasions of our privacy ... no, wait, the government can eavesdrop on any conversation you have and use that against you to ruin your life even if they misunderstood what was heard. Well, we're free to vote on the candidate of our choice ... no, wait, not if you have been convicted of a felony, even if you have paid your "debt" to society and changed your wicked ways. We're free to spend our money however we please ... after we pay our ever rising taxes, of course, and under the vigilant scrutiny of our all-knowing, noble and caring big brother. OK, so basically, if whatever you want to do or be looks like it may be too much fun or profitable for you, rest easy knowing someone is out there that believes, for your own good, it should be taken away from you. Enjoy the few freedoms we have left, and speak up every time they try to take another one away, even if it doesn't directly affect you. Stand up for what you believe in and don't let them put fluoride in your drinking water, but that's another rant.

You are free. You have free agency, and can do what you would like. BUT you must take the consequences that come with your action. Heck, you're "free" to bomb your neighborhood, but you have to take the consequences, whate'er those may be. You're free to get up and walk out out of the meeting you're in, but you'll probably lose your job. You're free to take a week-long getaway to the Bahamas on your credit card, but you have to pay the bill, and if you don't pay the bill, you won't have any credit cards.

Believe me, you're free. The trick is choosing choices that will make you MORE free in the end.

your freedom of choice can never be taken from you.
think about it, there is no situation that exists in which you have no choice.
Sometimes the choices are better than at other times, but still you have a choice.
The only thing in this world that you are truly not free from is the consequences of your choices.
Sooner or later the bad ones always come around and bite you in the behind.
You seem to have alot of input from others as to what to do in your life.
Well you have the choice whether to listen and conform or not.
You may not like the consequences of your choice, but you still have that choice.

Get It?
