Nobody will ever be bigger than Man Utd. But the players can't be bigger than the boss either. It's rare that Ferguson is found to have made a wrong decision. I don't think Beckham or Ruud is a bad decision. I think they were both necessary.

I think this will be Sir Alex's last season at Man Utd. I think selling Ruud will be proved to be a mistake, too much money spent on Carrick, going back Saha, Ferdinand and Veron. I think they will finish 4th behind Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool, and he'll either call time on himself, or the Glazers will want a fresh start.

But he's a Man Utd legend, I'm a gooner I have to admit that. He's built the current success story, the theatre of dreams, and his legacy will live on, and one day he'll be remembered ahead of Sir Matt, in terms of what he did there.....

....but all good things come to an end, his reign will soon. As for no individual being bigger than the club. That's true. And players/managers will come and go, the club will always be there! It's very important to remember that

You keep harping on about Alex selling Ruud. Listen while I tell you what happened, OK are you sitting comfortably right here goes, Ruud had asked Sir Alex Ferguson if he could leave the club twice, but was persuaded to stay, when he asked for a third time Sir Alex thought he better let him, if not, Ruud would start getting depressed. so now you know it was Ruud who wanted away from MANCHESTER UNITED, not SIR ALEX FERGUSON so I hope it`s all clear in your mind now!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah how dare he-SAF is only the most succesfull manager in the history of British football. How dare he know whats right. And before all the scousers go on about Paisley, great man that he was, Fergie if you combine the trophies he won in Scotland with the trophies at OT he is the most succesful in Britain. You glory hunters have no concept what the 26 years without the league were like do you. Show some respect.

Cast your minds back to 1995. Cantona did that kung-fu kick on that Crystal Palace fan. Any normal manager would have got rid of Cantona there and then. But Fergie knew that Cantona was a major factor in United winning silverware, so he didn't get rid of him.

So in answer to your question, Eric Cantona was bigger than Man United when the pressure was on Fergie to win silverware.

The guys a muppet. Can't stand him. Especially when hes on the touchline chewing gum at super speed. I hope one day he chews so hard that he chews his own face off and has to live the rest of his life in the backstreets of Manchester in shame begging for money just to buy one bit more of that sweet sweet Juicy Fruit.

They need fresh blood so they can take on Chelsea. And anyway footballers need to respect their managers and their decisions. I think that footballers now think they can get away with anything and it's good to have an old school manager like Ferguson to keep then in line!!!
