First day of High School...?

I'm going into my freshmen year at high school and I don't know what clothes to wear to stand out and make an impression. I'm kinda preppy so I normally don't wear t-shirts or anything. Guys and girls, HELP!

here are some things that are very in and very cute! i could go on and on so i will try to stop myself!

-polos from abercrombie and hollister are sooo cute!.. and you can wear them under shirts too... like you can just wear a regular printed/graphic tee shrit, and put a polo under it that matches, and it makes the whole outfit look cuter!
-wide belts... you can wear brown black or white widebelts right above the bellybutton.. make sure they have a big buckle.. that's very in.
-denim short shorts from hollister and abercrombie are also really in .. if they don't match the dress code wear them outside on weekends.
- there are some skirts that are sooo cute and in! i'll give u pictures!
-big white framed sunglasses
-skinny jeans or light washed jeans with a couple small rips.
-short sleeve shirts that have little sayings on them
-sweaters from hollister and abercrombie..
- beaded jewelry.
-short cut jackets

ME too!!For the first day....you should make a good first impression because people haven't seen you for a long time and you want to have a good start to the year. Like you shouldn't dress too revealing because you might get marked "slut". No body wants that. I would go with a cute knee length skirt and a v-neck shirt. That is cute and fun and flirty but not rediculous!!

For the rest of the year.... wait to see what the styles are. Find a trend that looks best on you. And then switch it up a little bit. So that way you aren't like everybody else. Its great to be an individual. Because people wonder how you do it! =)

Try a shirt in a bland, boring color, such as white, brown, or gray, with a design or not, and a simple pair of blue jeans. Top it off with bold accessories, such as a large beaded necklace or big, beautiful bracelets. I've always loved that look and have found that it makes quite an impression on my peers! People are always intrigued. Oh, and I almost forgot my favorite part of an outfit: the shoe! You could try a nice ballet flat or something similar. Good luck in high school.

High school is really over rated, the kids there will either like you or not. I say do your own thing and be true to yourself. But if you have to follow in that fad, than most of your clothes will come from old navy/gap/express/h&m etc. hopefully you will come to realize that clothes does not make a person. Anything thats "in season" that year. If you're preppy like wearing Abercrombie...then pretty much anything in the store is acceptable. Just choose something that is comfortable! Good luck in high school and don't worry about it :)

hey same here!!! well i have decided im going to wear a pair of American Eagle Gaucho pants and then im gonna wear a Ralph lauren polo or this simple shirt from Rue 21. It's definetly a cute outfit! So let me know what u choose....

Well... on my first day of high school I wore a light blue knee length summer dress with espadrilles.
It described my style at the time and it showed me to be the three words ppl use to describe me -pretty, calm, & sweet.

Dont worry about it, just wear something you feel comfortable, pretty and confident in that reflects your personal style not necessarily the hottest new trend on tv.

how about a cute pair of boot cut low ride jeans with a nice polo shirt that is fitting but not real tight....yellow is a stand out eye catching color and if you wear your hair up how about in a hair clippy and if down how about just the sides pulled back in a half clippy.....good luck and have fun 9th grade is cool and it is not your clothes that make the biggest impression it is your attitude....have fun!

I'm going into my freshman year too. Im scared out of my witts. I'm gonna wear bermudas and a collered shirt and black new balances. Wear bright colors to stand out.
