If the power went off, and the water and sewer pumps shut down, along with gasoline becoming unaffordable for minimum wage families, could you survive? Do you have the basic knowledge it would take? Do you know how to collect water from dew? How to start a fire without matches? Would you eat a roach, or rats?

I know that is more than one question...but they all tie in together.

Seriously...put yourself in the shoes of the Katrina victums except imagine it being nationwide where no support from charities or government is available.

I hear people say "live for today, don`t worry about tomorrow", but I say "live for today and you die before tomorrow arrives.

I live on a farm. I'd have to rehook up the windmill and haul water back to the house. I'd have to butcher my own cattle myself for meat. Only drag would be when diesel fuel ran out and I'd be too lazy to do plant and harvest crops by hand.
