There are no coaches, no refs, no rules, and no gay uniforms. You don't have to be friends with everyone and all that crap, either. Skateboarding has judges, but that's life; there are judges everywhere. The judges are only in competition. But, yeah, the media says skateboarding isa sport and a crime. Why??????

Skateboarding is a sport because it DOESN'T have all those things. Those so-called sports with ref, gay uniforms, sponsors and product endorsement , are businesses.

Don't worry about what media says. When skateboarding is legit, it will be a business, too.

Skateboarding is a definitely a sport. Just like surfing, or those bikers that do flips in the air. What shouldn't be a sport is competitive eating. What's next competitive sleeping or competitive TV watching?

Since when does a sport have to do with wearing uniforms? If you're doing something athletic that takes talent and dedication, it's a sport. Some people don't consider NASCAR to be a sport, well it is.

Skateboarding isn't a sport, it's an art. Especially street skating. Finding places that weren't made for skating, turning stairs sets and handicap rails into your own sections of a personal skate park are much better than some ****** sport.

The people who call skateboarding a sport are ****** ignorant, and the people who call it a crime are bastards.

so you get to decide what is the criteria of a 'sport' and skateboarding doesn't meet it.

others may not share your criteria of a 'sport' and the world changes all the time.

if people could exactly agree on what the definitiion of a sport was, it would be very easy to tell what was a sport.

You simply need to look at the definition of "sport"

"Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively."

Is skateboarding a physical activity? Sure
Is it governed by a set of rules or customs? Absolutely
Is it often engaged in competitively? Of course!
