Just tell your parents that you wont do any of that stuff. Tell them that you think your mature enough to make some of your own decisions. If I know parents which I think I do they will trust you and let you go to your friends house.

Maybe you have done something in the recent past to make them assume that you will get into trouble? Or maybe you have gotten into trouble with this particular friend before? They should be monitoring your internet, too. You are 14. You don't know what kind of people are out there. Trust me. I have been stalked/raped/and attacked, on three different occasions, by three different people. The first time, I was 12. The 2nd, 16. and I was attacked by a man who tried to rape and kill me last year, when I was 19. I hope this scares you, it needs to.

Well, when they say no, do you throw fits and whine and stuff? That just proves to them that you're not that mature. Just talk to your parents and explain to them it's summer vacation and you're bored and you wanna go out and do something fun with your friend. Why don't you two just go to the movies or something?

just tell your parents that if they think your going to do something at your friends house, then just let them call you every hour or thirty minutes. or let you go with some one that they trust. not like a 30 yr. old, like a 14 yr. old like you, or someone close to your age. or tell them to talk to your parents mom before you go back home so they can know what you did, and then they will start trusting you and let you go out by yourself and not worry.

Yes, parents can be overprotective. On the other hand, don't take it bad but you're still far, far away from being mature and there has to be some reason (or should be) for your parents' attitude.

Ask your parents talk to your friends parents. Maybe after being reassured by another pair of adults, they may soften their stance and let you go over there.
Good luck!
BTW... this would be a VERY mature suggestion on your behalf.

My mom is overpotive, I'm not allowed to call guys, whatever. Parents get overpotive and more sctirt as you get older, I found that out. You should talk to them.
