What Flowers Bloom In October

Mums are the quintessential autumn flower. There are easily a dozen various forms quite unique from pom-poms, spiders inverted and in-curved, buttons in a variety of colors. If you live in a mild winter area all the late summer garden flowers should be in good shape and readily available at farmers markets (dahlias, asters, cosmos, status, zinnias, marigolds). If you are having a florist do your wedding confer with him or her about availability and price since most flowers in floral wholesale markets are imported. An informal wedding with garden atmosphere could be done quite economically and still be very charming whereas a very formal and elegant one would tend to cost more. Don't overlook foliage as a major element in design -- there are so many interesting possibilities. I inferred from your question that cost was of interest to you.

It depends on where you're from; where I come from in the southern US, tiger lillies and spider lillies both bloom through the Fall. If you want to use seasonal flowers, you should ask a local gardener or greenhouse. If you want specific flowers that are not in season, you can go through a florist or a greenhouse and you can usually get just about any flowers year round.

Pansies are about the only flower that survives the frost. Of course if this is for a wedding and it is going to be inside or if you live in an area that does not have a frost you can find most any flower grown in a hothouse environment.

It depends on where you are. In the midwest it will mainly be
mums. The best thing to do is call a local florist, and ask for some suggestions on wedding flowers.

That depends on the area in which you live of course. But any good Florist should be able to get whatever flowers you wish for your wedding.
