I personally think that MTV should be taken off the air and forgotten completely. They script all thier reality TV shows (obviously) and thier shows are brainless and teach people bad morals and inforce wrong actions. Being rich and stupid seems to be the way to go now a days. They are setting the females in or generation back 50 years. I would like to stand up for all the women AND men who have brains, know how to use them and treat people who repect. I mean come on now people get with it.

MTV is completely Sexed up. Have you looked at some of the videos, women are there just for show....
But I don't think it should be taken off the air. People should have the choice, like I did! Once I watched MTV until I realized that per hour there was 1 good video against 10 really sexed up/crap videos - so I just turned it off.
Haven't seen it in a couple of years now. There's a lot of other music channels that are really good, I think that if kids could see all of those channels most will realize what are the best ones.

I think that the public makes this decision everyday. If America wanted it gone then nobody would watch, mtv would lose money and the channel would be gone. But, in reality millions love the programming and mtv continues to flourish.
Standards are set by the majority of the masses. We may look at the legislation and politicians and see that morality seems to be going out the window. But, it is our generation that is deciding that this kind of programming is acceptable, and we are the future. Much as our parents and grandparents hated elvis and rock and roll. When the baby boomers are gone, we will have the majority. Besides, have you ever voted, how can i expect to see looser moral legislation passed, when everyone in front of me in the voting line in 50 +

completely agree and has been a waste of space for a long time now. The show 'Next' is way over the top when they put the gay couples as contestants and they start making out on the bus with each other, like they can't even wait long enough to meet the actual 'Date'.

It isn't public airwaves, so good luck with your campaign. Bad morals. Hmmm... How many people are getting killed in the Middle East because of religion? I forget...

MTV is vapid and stupid, I will give you that, but so is most of TV programming. Nah, there are a whole lot of more important issues right now than MTV. FIND ONE OF THEM!

We get the big issues taken care of, then we can look at the little ones.

"Under God", got to love it. All the crap going on, and congress is worried about "Under God". Bull dookies. Worry about the freaking $300 BILLION deficit first idiots! Get that taken care of, and we will talk about "Under God" in the freaking pledge.

Well I think that it is the singers and director's who should be blamed because the director's the one how say's "Oh put your leg on him and act like are having sex." and to me that is just stupid!!!! I mean you don't have to act so sexy to get in to the top 20 count down! Girls should have respect for there body! I totly
agree with you!
Well have a good day!

what I'd like to know is, whatever happened to the "M" in MTV??
I never see any music on there any more unless it's really late night/early morning. I remember the days when I was in college and could watch music videos all day. they should change the name of the station....

You right, I think they only pick the horny and gay for the Real World. I remember when the Real World was about something. The moral standards in this world are way down.
