2. He actually tried RUNNING from the cops, which is resisting arrest.
3. He places himself on a "holier than thou" pedestal, then gets busted for DUI?!?!

he got a DUI, and when he was pulled over he got mouthy with the cop and asked him if he was a jew, and other things, and then tried to resist arrest. so its a big deal becuz mel gibson is a leader around L.A and hes supposed to be some "hard core" christian

I really dont see the big deal just because hes famous everyone is making it a controversy and its pretty lame. If it were a regular drunk guy he would have just been put in jail over night. The cop is throwing this way out of proportion!!

2. The public loves to see celebrities crash and burn. Would anyone care about this story if it happened to Joe the mailman?
3. The whole anti-sematic angle just makes the story more "juicy".

No big deal, he is just one of many pulled over for DUI. So he is a human being with a few flaws like us all. So what. I'll still see his movies and see him as a great actor.

i know, its not like christians are supposed to be like jesus and be perfect everytime, he made a mistake, he is going to obey the consiquenses and thats it.. now its on CNN, there are many more important news than this.. why dont they just report every DUI crime there was
