What academic degree will be the best suit for "investment consultant" profession. it is not MBA though!

a career in in mcKinsey or Morgan Stanely or similar consulting companies whi deal with macro economics

you'll want to have the investment/finance background, but will primarily be selling investment products. i agree that an MBA will probably not serve you well unless you are thinking of moving into management, and it's suspect there too. maybe think about a masters in economics if you want the technical education, or get some investment sales experience.
