I've got an AMD Athlon XP in a W3080 e Machine with an available AGP slot.I'm wanting to put in a new motherboard with a pci-e slot. If I took my time and drew out where everything went how hard would it really be.And any idea how much this would run me?

Don't bother. They don't make Athlon XP (For AMD you need at least an Athlon64) motherboards with PCI-E slots. Along with the motherboard you will also need to upgrade the CPU for this and also you need to make sure your current power supply is capable of handling the new graphics card you install.

Also, not all motherboards are the same size physically. When replacing a motherboard, make sure you also get one that fits inside your case. For instance, if you get a full ATX motherboard, and your PC is a micro ATX case (smaller than ATX) then it will not fit.

Honestly, e-Machines are not worth the hassle. In order to change the motherboard, you will have to remove all periphreals and maybe the power supply. If the problem is not your motherboard you're really in the hole when you could buy a new system from Dell for a very good price.

I have an Athlon XP 64 with PCI-E
If you're otherwise satisfied with your systems performance, look into ATI's Crossfire system.
Its basically adding a AGP video card then an addon board to enhance video performance.

Do you mean litterally drawing or taking it apart and replacing it??
I can't help you with the first one, but if you mean the last one, It would not be so complicated.
Computers are made to be dummy-proof.
All the cables are fitted exactly to the slots in which they go.
I would guess 15 minutes should easily do it...
