Here are some common, garden variety names:
Oak Grove, Rock Falls, Foreston, Goose Creek, Ashville, Beaufort, Bloomington, Appleton, Garden Plain, Rosemont, Riverton, Sparta, Freeport, Rockton, Smithsville, Stonington, Swansburg, Pattenburg, Rooksburg, River Bend, Marburg, Warren, Engleton, Clearbrook, Bradenton, Lewiston, Newburg, Opal City, Hinkley, Hunters Creek, Deer Camp, Whistler

Then I have these:
Oceanside City - a submersible town that has a protective shield so that it can be lowered under the water when hurricanes approach

Phlotilla - a city built on pontoons in one of the Great Lakes that is solar powered

Tenebrion - a self-contained town built in a desert area that has water collectors, like the desert bugs, to supply itself with water, and it is, of course, solar powered from all that sunlight.

MIRacle - a city that grew around the first space platform used to build space ships beyond the atmosphere. It is in stationary orbit and connected to the Earth by several elevators.

I have no idea when or where your story takes place, so:

Osilan (Ohz-ee-lan) - oasis city of the Jicaba (Ji-kah-ba) desert, a slavery-based city; in the center of the Empire.

Premthis (Prehm-thihs) - Athen-like city on the river Reid (Reed), the center of trade and wine of the Empire. Generally run by corrupt businessmen.

Rosca (Rahss-ka) Onye (On-yay) - the Waterfall's Mine, a town grown by selling the precious stones found in their mines.

Phillisca (Feel-'ice'-uh) - City of Assassins, where everyone either wants or dies; crime/mafia-based city.

Qintha (kinthuh) - A mainly rural province%2g=1;own for its berrymelons and maizeflour.
