My best friend has been going with a guy..or shal i say man, for 6 months. He seems great. Real nice and hes very wealthy and is taking care of her. Handsone - the whole 8. He seems too good to be true. Well she says. Her mom told me that they dont see her much anymore & neither do i since theyve been together. But ive seen her with 3 black eyes since shes been with him and she says she fell or they were wrestleing or whatever. Do u think hes hitting her? Dont get me wrong, im married and have my own life, but im getting a bit concerned about my nest friend. I keep asking her if shes ok, but she gets snappy. The 15 years of friendship, ive never seen her this way.

Being her good and ever lasting friend, I think you should talk to her over a nice glass of wine or a cup of coffee. Try to make a nice and safe setting. Neutral ground where she cannot get angry or leave or anything. Tell her you need to talk to her.

Tell her what you have observed. Tell her that you are worried about her. You worry because you have lost touch with her, and because you can see the black eyes. I think you can be pretty direct, allthough nice when you talk to her. You can also tell her that you will accept it if she is not ready to talk to you directly about these things.

I do not think that you should include the other persons that worry about her. THis will get her in the defence - trap. Like "I talked to your mom and she said that ..... and she totally agrees with me and......". No

Tell her no matter what - whenever she is ready - you will be there for her.

Best wishes and good luck

you need to help your friend by insisting hes got to go. Hes abusive without question and you know it.
