I've been dating this guy for over a year and he was from florida, and he moved up to NH to spend our last year of High School together. And after high school I moved down here with him. I know now that I'm here I won't go to college cause I live on an island and I'm basically a beach bum. I want more for myself. I miss my family/friends and I want to go to college..and I want my boyfriend...He's told me if I move our relationship is done...What should I do....????

He wants me to go to college down here to try to make it work. But I don't know what to do. It's hard being 16,000miles away from your family. I suffer from depression and he seems to tell me that I'm just homesick and I should get over it. I know theres many other guys, but I just can't stomach the fact of us not being together.....but I know that this is my life too and I need to live it for me....but....

You nee to think it over. Is a relationship that can be found again important enough to keep you from getting your education to be able to be someone later in life. I'm not saying that you won't become someone, however, even to work in some restaurants they want you to have some college. Really think because if you miss your family and you want more for yourself then I think you should move and if the boyfriend can not understand it then he needs to go. He should be more worried about you and what you feel and want in life. If you want to go to college and go see your family whats stopping you. He shouldn't be. I hope this helps.

Personally i think that u should do what makes u happy like always but going to college, u would never regret and if ure boyfriend really loves u he would understand by moving w/u and letting u take ure decision but if he dosen't care then why bother staying w/him.having a great family and good future is much better than a relationship that comes and goes and someone that dosen't seem to care about ure future good luck!

Nothing wrong with experiencing the beach bum life...but now that you have...time to begin your real life...if there is no future on the island then staying with your bf is a dead end decision...if he doesn't want more than that then don't let it stand in your way....You should do whats right for you.

Go to college so u can get a good paying job one day!! I am sure you will meet other guys and find love with u r done with college. Don"t do something u will regret later on!!!

never chose love over education. love will always come. education once the time goes is very hard to get back into. i did the same mistake and married too soon and have always regreted it. if he loves u he can wait other wise tell bye bye. too many guys in this world to leave ur future over this one guy.

College, if he is giving you that type of choice then, i think that guy is not the man for you...You need a man that will support your hopes and dreams and help reach those goals....honey stay in school....You will love again.

Go to college. It will be the best decision to make. If he loves you, he will want you to better yourself. If not, good riddence to bad rubbish. Go to college! You deserve to go and do well and have a wonderful life.
