Only a pacifist would think that. Sometimes, though horrible, war is necessary. During WWII the United States tried to ignore what was going on in Europe and the world. The people didn't want to get involved, though the atrocities that were being committed in Europe were well known. Our pacifism got us bombed at Pearl Harbor.

Defense and retaliation is a necessary deterrence to evil. Evil seeks out the vulnerable and weak. It preys upon the defenseless and naive. Do you leave your doors unlocked? Do you leave your car doors open? Will you stand at the door when being burglarized and try to reason with the would be thief? NO, that would be foolish. The defense of this nation and the retaliation against those that would harm us is the same. Israel is our friend and ally. They have helped us many times over the years. They are being attacked and have been attacked since their legal formation in 1948. If we don't support our allies in need, then our allies have no reason to help us when we need it. We can't turn our backs when an injustice is taking place.

I'm thinking you would be the same person that would close your blinds if you saw your neighbor being robbed or attacked. God help you.

Have some nerve and conviction to defend this land. Though not perfect I guarantee it is the most free, most successful, most blessed nation in all the world. Would you fight for anything? Does it only matter when it comes to your own door? Where are all the citizens willing to improve (without whining) our country and DEFEND it and it's allies with conviction, strength, and intergrity. Many of you sound like a bunch of whining, weak, naive, pacifist, spineless, children. Sometimes we have to think of something besides our own personal little world. LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE, with some common sense. Please....think about justice and what is right. Look beyond your own isolated little world.

In the process, they are trying the warheads too. The price for that is your tax. War always brings the expenses along with it. Rehabilitation of people affected is going to be another part. The money could have definitely gone for the development of mankind.

Muslims asking questions getting answers from Muslims. You'll never understand America. We are as alien to you as you Islamic government/religion is alien to us.

We know about the Ummah. You are consigned to the dustbins of History because of the Ummah. You must delete the Ummah from you government/religion or you won't survive.

How does it feel to be a living anachronism?

Israel was founded with the help of the US, we should help them, they have helped us before. Israel is being bombed by hezzbollah. At least strikes on Lebanon are targeted, Katyusha rockets are point and fire, they hit anything.
