the wanton killing in Lebanon. I believe that this answer is cruel and heartless, but I am afraid that too many Americans are cavalier about the massacre of innocents. What is your opinion?

Wasn't any punctuation in that preson's postings?? Is the bold face yours or his/hers???

And finally, wht do you want people to provide their opinion on?

On the person's comment?? On your comment?? Or on the massacare??

If it was on the comment of that person...well i think that man is stupid.
If it was for your posting...I think you are watchful and doing your best to make people aware of the things around.
If it was for the massacre...well...whose massacare....there's massacare on both sides!!

I agree with your observation. A lot of what I see is desensitization. It seems as though any loss of human life (be it Israeli or Lebanese or any other nationality other than American) that is not happening where we live doesn't affect us the way it should.

This is particularly relevant for me today. Example:

I was watching a show last night about zebras crossing the Serengeti desert to find water during a drought period. Once they reached the water they faced crocodile-infested waters. The crocodile had a very adept method for separating the weakest and youngest from the zebra herd. After the gators let the strongest go by they attacked a mother and her baby. They had no chance. The other zebras stood on the other bank watching and you could hear the distress n their cries. Seeing this brought tears to my eyes and really depressed me. I told my husband what bothered me more is that I did not show that kind of emotion when I saw parents holding their dead children in war zones.

I'm afraid we've all gotten too used to seeing and hearing about death, war and destruction that we just don't spare the emotion for it anymore. It's not going away any time soon, and that's the most disturbing thought of all.

Yeah the massacre of innocent Isreali citizens is SICK, but sadly that is what those people over there do. So yeah the Isreali Army had to invade Lebanon to go after Hezbollah. With Hezbollah hiding behind the innocent hten the innocent will occassionaly get killed. Espically since most of the "innocent" are set up by Hezbollah just to make Isreal look worse.

"War may sometimes be a necessary evil. But no matter how necessary, it is always an evil, never a good. We will not learn how to live together in peace by killing each other's children.” - Jimmy Carter

Some people are just unable or unwilling to learn...

I am in the minority here. I disagree with both sides.

Israel is using excessive force to punish Lebanon for a crime which they themselves commit on a daily basis.

Hezbollah is using kidnapping and murder to punish Israel for their propensity for kidnapping and murder.

A terrorist is a terrorist. All you care about is lebannon? Look people get killed in war. That is a fact. But when it comes to terrorist muslim pigs then they all must be killed. Do you care about the innocent people killed in WWII. Or do you share the same hate for the Jews as Hitler and all of the muslim share. Do you care about the innocents killed in Korea or Vietnam. To pick and choose your battles is selfish. Innocents are going to be killed. Sorry to hurt your feelings but that is the way it is! Call me names if you want. I served my country. How have you served yours? By selfish criticism!!!!!! Grow some skin and get over it!!!!

I'm here dori make your point! Why does it not bother you when Jews are massacred? People like you would rather succumb to terrorist than to fight for freedom? You have an opinion just like I have one but the differance is I don't care about political correctness. If a person cannot share views no matter how different then what?

Hey DEP because I don't reseach from your liberal library I am what? uneducated? an idiot? People like you do not believe in free thinking. I have seen my failed ways What you say is always right because your sources say so and my sources are a bunch of conservative lies? Wow can't wait till all of America begins to start thinking like you. You just proved that free speech is only for a select few. Pick and choose till you find the truth that fits your beliefs. How about enlisting like I did and really do something for your country. I fought for the very freedoms that people like you abuse.

I was answering one question today, and it solidified something I have been contemplating for a while now. The whole world has become unstable. Things are in a state of flux. Much of what is happening is that Hot spots which were kept under control during the "Cold War" and now flaring up in human carnage with little to no control over them. You want to condemn Israel, why is beyond me. Others want to condemn Hezbollah. It is going to have to play out all over the globe until balance and equilibrium is achieved ... which is to say that all sides have to become exhausted by protracted fighting.

I'm an American and definitely do NOT think that war is necessary. In my opinion, if more people were open minded and willing to compromise then it's possible, in some cases, that war could be averted but as long as some adults act like spoiled brats and think that they can have everything just because they want it or think that they're right and everyone else is wrong, then war is inevitable. I know this is a very simplistic view but then I'm just your average, everyday American.

There is no 'wanton' killing in Lebanon by Israel. The senseless death there is because of Hezbollah hiding behind civilians, using unwilling civilians as human shields and propaganda pieces.

It's sad, but condemning Israel for it is not correct. Yes, they may be Israeli bombs, but the civilians were placed in harm's way by Hezbollah.

Maybe it will wake up the Lebanese to finally get rid of the goatfucking terrorists that have brought this destruction upon them.

I don't think war is always the best option, but it will always be AN option. People think we are too accustomed to violence these days? Um, what about WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Korean War, Revolutionary War, should we name all of the wars in history and see the death tolls? No more people are dying now than have been in the past.
As for Israel, they have a responsibility to fight for their people. What do Americans do when terrorists kidnap one of our own? We (not me) ***** about the war in Iraq. They think the resolution is running away...What would have happened if we ran away from Hitler? Bye bye Israel.

I just wrote about the same thing and I hope people will remember that "Collateral Damage" is really little baby's die in explosions. When you have to meet your God do you think he will agree with you about Collateral Damage. Always try and solve problems even if you did not start it with peace. The old way doesn't work, we have done the war thing to death and all that happens is people die until it is settled by words. Let skip the middle man (War) and get to the solution which is always end up in diplomacy.

All the answers you will recieve, especially from israeli supporters, will generally be uneducated. This is not to say the people supporting them are stupid...they just have not read the history of the violence, where hizbollah even came from and why we support israel (though not enough to intervene).

They also focus their attentions on U.S. media, versus other media, like the UK (our ally) or Australia (our ally). It is a matter of lulling themselves into this idea that we can never be wrong in our actions or our support.

Andy above me is a prime example of lacking any sort of objective research skills.
