College report cards usually come on the Internet on a site directed to you from the school. You may get A and B or just a point system, but all grades at the end come as a 4.0 scale. Some schools make you take classes that has nothing to do with your major so your prof wont care what your major is. And for the classes you need to graduate for that major, the prof should know what your major is because you are taking their class.

NO your report card is not mailed home. IT goes to you since you are an adult at that time. You have to sign for your parents to recieve it in most colleges. You have BOTH grades on the report card the 4.0 and the A.

Your professors don't usually know what you are majoring in. You are assigned an advisor that helps you organize your class schedules for that major. The key to getting through college in a timely manner is to have good communication with your advisor.

Hi there, all the colleges that I went to posted your grades online on their website. They are in the decimal system in college with 4.0 being an A and anything below 2.0 is failing. Only you know what you are majoring in, but sometimes the professors ask at the beginning what you are majoring in and write them in their grade books. A lot of times the classes you take for a certain major will also go with another major. For example, I took a lot of Sociology classes as that was my major, but there were a lot of Psychology majors in my classes as they were very similar. Good luck and start applying now! =)

Well I would say it depends on the school. As you are attending college, you are an adult and your grades are sent to you. The class could be graded or pass/fail and yes they run on a 4.0 scale. Don't be surprised to see your grade point average drop a bit, college is and should be a challenge. Luckily, even if you fail a class, most universities will let you repeat the same course and will drop your previous class...but don't forget to make up those missed units in order to maintain a passing grade point average. Whether your professors know you also depends on your school. If it is a small university you might know your professor well, if it is a large university you might be one of hundreds in a lecture hall. How well you know your professors will depend on you to seek them in office hours, be an active participant in class discussions and maintain communication through e-mail. By the time you specialize your degree (nice ambition to be a doctor) you will have a professor as an advisor and he or she will help you choose the course of studies that suit your needs. Good luck!

No, the school doesn't mail report cards. Most of your professors will not know you, unless you have taken a lot of their classes. And the grading scale is on a 4.0 scale, but in classes, you either get an A, B, C, D, or F.

well u dont realyl get report cards anymore, all ur grades are gonna be recorded on your transcript. depending on the type of school you go to, grades are teh same but the one thing that will mess up your gpa is the plus and minus system. we have it at my university and they really make a difference from making the deans list or keeping your scholarship. as far as the major question with your prof., ull get someone called an academic advisor who will tell you what classes are geared toward your major and the requirements you may need as far as your course load. So the person who you need to stay the closest with and be worried about is your advisor, he/she will have your best interest.,...its there job!! lol does that help?

If I remember correctly, the grades come in the mail and are in the 4.0 form. On the card, it tells your name, your major, your average, your year. I'm not sure what the profs see on their records.

Probably depends on the school. At my school they were in 0.0-4.0 form. They were mailed home if you were on academic probation; otherwise you just got them online. They were given your major on their roster, but I don't think they really care for the most part. They may pay attention if they know the class is important for your major and you're not doing well in it though.
