It's nothing really. I got mine done over a year ago and it was easier than I thought. In fact I'd rather do that one again instead of my tongue. Expect a quick pinch. You may tear up slightly, but that is due to the nose being connected to the tear ducts (and it is quite normal to tear up--the place I went to gave me a tissue in case). I didn't tear up though. Just breathe normally it it will be fast and mostly painless--except for your quick pinch.
If you get it done by a professional piercer you should have no problems. I know there are a lot of places that have "professional piercers" but most are more focused on tattooing instead. Go to a place that is APP recommended.
Mine didn't hurt days, weeks, etc after. I took care of my piercing and kept it clean. Yes, the first day it was sore, but nothing more than when you get your ears pierced. The important thing is to go to someone reputable--check them out! If you feel uncomfortable with them, then leave. Also, cleanings are necessary. Just don't overclean or you will run into problems too.
Good luck! Check out both links, the 2nd in particular, as I am sure it will answer any questions you may have.
P.S. Don't listen to people telling you not to do it, and that kind of crap. Do it for you! Do it because you want to do it. I have several piercings, and I don't look over done. There is getting pierced and looking classy and then there is trashy (way too many). I've gotten 3 piercings (aside from earrings) and I think I look fine and not overdone. Heck, you can't even see 2 of my piercings (belly button and tongue). It's like anything in life, there are something things some people just won't understand.

Had mine done 2 year ago.
Initially won't hurt but few days after and the next few months will be painful and sore because the wound takes a long time to heal. If your nose has thick skin this will be the case, if this it's thinner it won't take too long to heal. You'll get a bit of crusting and puss etc and blood but it will go away. Depends on your sensitivity.
However try not to take it out often or play with it as this breeds infection, keep your hands clean. Use a Q tip dipped in aftershave to disinfect the area when it's sore to clean. Or dettol wipes/antiseptic cream!
2 years on for me it's perfectly fine- no pain, nothing, take it out once a week to clean. I wear a real gold nose stud because it won't give you a reaction as cheaper metals do this. Buy one that fits.
Mines on the right side of my nose, make sure they position it proportioned to sit on the bump part of your nose fairly in the middle otherwise it would look out of place. Get a stud that is adequate for the thickness of your nose as the skin might close up (happened to me but all is well). This is important because your nose right after piercing automatically wants to heal.
Make sure the place your going is clean and reputable, last of all Good luck on Saturday!

Well instead of the usual two holes in your nose you now will have THREE holes in your nose, of course that will make you look so much more beautiful and appealing to all the people that you will meet, especially when you apply for a job or when you get into your forties and they ask "what is that extra hole in your nose for?" but go ahead and get it pierced stick a big piece of jewelry into it and have a ball.

Make sure you get a long enough ring first time cause it's going to swell a little and if the ring is too short, it will be to tight those first 6 weeks and might cause a bump on the nose.

I hurts really bad when your getting it done and for about couple weeks after you'll have pain. But don't worry about it, it only its 5 sec. for the whole thing. Just make sure you keep it clean and you'll love it. Trust Me :)
And it won't fall out when you sleep. (if it does whoever did it, did it WRONG) and your nose will only be red for a couple of days.
Its like anyother pierceings, you'll have no problem if you just keep them clean.

For heavens sake! Only cattle have their nose pierced so they can be pulled by it. You are a human being, do not allow your self to be treated like a cow. All the best

a bit of a pain, but then 3 or 4 days of swollen noes and redness . ... who knows maybe a thought of regret ... choose a small one cause it will diminish the pain, and after your nose get used to it change it with a fashion one :D a colored one.. and it will be OK
Bring us some pics of your new piercing

not really any thing mine didnt hurt but you have to be careful at night so it does not fall out. put the adesive part of a band aid over top of you nose ring. there might be a little seeling or bruiseing but you can put bacitracin on it if you get an infection.

You might want to check some of the written experiences on http://www.bmezine.com. Your mileage may vary, since pain varies from person to person.
Good luck - and enjoy your new installation. :)
