It's actually comeuppance, "A punishment or retribution that one deserves; one's just deserts."

It comes from the words come and up, combined and then made into noun form, like "she had it coming."

It's actually comeuppance, and it means that a person will get what's coming to them. Kinda like "what comes around goes around". Not sure of the history though.
