It depends on a lot of factors.. Who is your providing your mail? If it is Yahoo or Hotmail, they have HTML interfaces to their mail servers. If it is an ISP, you may have to be on your home network to get to it. For the most part, you will probably need some type of mail client to get to it. (If it is POP3) You will need to configure the POP3 server and your username and password. If it is a work Exchange Server, again you will probably need to be on the LAN. But again, we need more information.

You can only do this is your email provider has webmail support. If you use a client such as outlook express, then it usually will remove messages from the server, so the webmail will only have message that have been received since the last time the client was started.
