Could it be he's a pisshead?...

its a sleep disorder. He doesnt do it on "accident" or because hes lazy. He cant tell whats going on bcause he has a genetic condition called "enuresis" which mans he sleeps wrong, so he sleeps too deeply to have any clue as to whats going on.

I wet the bed til I was 17, and my sons dad still does it, at least that was the last time I heard from him, a couple years ago, so he would have been 28 at the time. My dad wet til he was 13, and other family members went well into their teens as well.

If it bothers you, you could try asking him (privately) to wear adult undergarments at night, like Depends briefs, to keep you and the bed dry.

Um- Dont use humiliation tactics, please. I read the other peoples responses, and I have to tell you- humliation can cause a common genetic condition to turn into a psychological problem, and that can cause alot of undue stress on your relationship.
Drinking alcohol is NOT the culprit and neither is laziness or anything else. Bed wetting is a COMMON problem. If this happens even when he doesnt drink, then theres your answer, and using his bedwetting as a humiliating excuse to get him to stop drinking, is not going to solve either te bedwetting OR the drinking problem.

My partner was a chronic alcoholic and continually wet the bed. Then, as his drinking got worse and nobody addressed the drink problem, he started to pee himself when not asleep. There is nothing more hurtful than to have a partner who is in the throws of an all consuming drink problem, because they will deny it and say that they do not drink any more than anybody else. Could be true but others may not have the alcoholic gene which trully does exist. If you or him do not do something urgently, then you can kiss goodbye to your relationship somewhere down the line as you will grow to despise him. Believe me, it is a downward spiral if he will not stop. I bet all pleas from you are met with denials. This is normal.
Please also watch that you do not get sucked in to his problem. You may be facing a long and hard fight, money problems, fertility problems, work, timekeeping, not eating. I stayed with my partner as I was at the end of my tether, he had to stop drinking completely and now we are so happy. Drink is the devil incarnate get help before it gets you. Funny - NOT!!!

right if it achoholic drinks it can be common when men drunk do this my husband when he has to much has been caught numerous times heading towards a corner or cupboard and he's easily directed to the bathroom.
before your other half gets into bed direct to the bathroom.
put plastic sheets on the bed try to embarrass him/her that they are doing it.
ok another problem if this is not due to being drunk if this has happened all their life and as a child he did the whole star charts and maybe he's embarrassed in seeing a doctor get him to see one this might be a serious condition my brother suffered from same thing he wet the bed as a child but as he got older it got embarrassing for him when he reached 24 he said right enough is enough when he visited the doctor they did tests and it was found out that he had a very small bladder he had to get an operation to enlarge it using a part of his bowel.
This was actually very serious .
so you don't give us good details about your other halfs past history on bed wetting but i hope this imformation will help and if it had been continuous that they do seek help from the doctor.
(sorry might be refering your other half as he apologies if its a she)

Sounds like he is drinking too much, as he is unable to control his bladder whilst asleep, try asking him to cut back a bit and see if this makes a difference, if not it might be worth a trip to the doctor to see why it is happening, hope this has been helpful

My college roommate used to wet the bed when he'd get really drunk and fall asleep. Make him go to the bathroom before he goes to bed, and (if you can) maybe not drink so much. Maybe you could make it a point of buying some rubber sheets to embarrass him.

Drinking?

Could be a number of reasons, stress, diet or health reasons. I think you should try discussing seeing a doctor or if your partner is a bit embarrassed then maybe changing diet, try to avoid fizzy drinks, caffeine and alcohol (beer and larger) as they all have an ingredient that contracts the bladder to open.

He could have a smaller than usual blader or he just doset wake up when he needs to go. When I was younger (6years) my parents got me a wet sensitivity pad with an alarm for my bed. That way my brain got trained to wake up before I wet the bed. It worked very well.

Because he doesn't go to the bathroom before he goes to sleep or is too lazy to get out of bed to use the restroom. My little sister does the same thing(4)
