I have a 91 dodge dynasty and Its has 77,000 miles on it. Will it make the 6 hour drive to North Carolina and back. What type of maintenance should I take care of before I go to make sure my car doesn't unexpectedly breakdown.

Have a good look at:

Hoses - should not be balloned anywhere. And look at all the hoses, including radiator and heater hoses

Tires - good tread, proper inflation, even wear

Lights - all in good working order

Fluids - all at proper levels, not discolored, and clean

Have a good look under the car as well. How does the exhaust look? Has it been greased? Parking brake cables there and not rusted up? Any obvious problems?

You could get into checking brake pads and such, but how crazy are you going to get?

Have the radiator flushed and refilled, belts and hoses checked, air and fuel filter changed, tires rotated and balanced. You should be fine

oil change, sheck spark plugs and wires to make sure they are good. check transmition fluid and make sure it is good.
new air filter. and if you are paranoid, then a new fuel filter.
and make sure to have good wiper blades, and plenty of wiper fluid. oh, and also make sure to check the engine coolant. make sure it is full. also, make sure before you leave that your tire pressures are all correct, and that you have a good spare, and make sure that the spare is properly inflated, and that you have all the tools to change the tire with.; (jack, and wrench)
