If you are spiritually inclined, you could read the Dalai Lama's book Happiness at Work.
There are too many variables to look at when one considers your question:
1. Can you change jobs?
2. If not , then you will need to change your attitude?
I can't say I'm happy at work but found a measure of contentment by always giving an excellent service to my clients who show their appreciation by recommending me to other clients.
Best luck for the future.

"Most people are willing to work for greatness while few people are willing to do the small things" <1>

Happiness can be obtained at working on the small details. Typically people forget about these and get themselves into trouble because they missed the small details. When you doing the small insigificant stuff, always smile and keep in the back of your mind that you're doing what it takes to be great.

My first job was at the concessions at a movie theater. For an hour, it was go-go-go ... then everyone disapeared (happily watching their movie). Our manager was a doof and he liked to goof around while we had down time. I quickly learned that the down time was much needed to stock up on cups, napkins, butter, and check on the soda's. See, after going through two cycles of go-go-go, during the busiest cycle, we ran out of napkins, soda, and the butter was all over the floor and people were slipping. Althought the manager didn't care, I didn't want to be in a position were people were freaking out, so from then on, I did all the little stuff.

Many years ago I worked very hard in the oil field ,very nasty. Then I begin to understand that work ,or play are both good for you. First I would play tennis on weak ends and in some cases I played harder than I worked . So if u can convenes yourself that u are having fun while u are working ,work and play are much the same, and all good for your body.So it is a state of mind and the moor u enjoy your job the easier it is and u do a better job.
Try it u will like it

Work to Live...Don't Live to work...

Too many people define happiness with their job...

Isn't there more to life than that?

Can't be happy all the time. Thnk of the people who have no job and out on the street in this heat, looking for food.

You work to get money to do the things that make you happy...

Assume you are just a number at work and nothing much matters bc in the end, you're an employee, not a person. Unless you are lucky enough to be employed by a company that cares. You will have to derive your happiness from your family, friends, activities, education or whatever.

Donald Trump says, "You have to love your work" to get the best result of your work but to me it also mean you could be happy at job if you like to do it. Once you're not happy or comfortable at job, you would likely to be sad always

Find a job that you can live with. Working a job that you don't enjoy will make you miserable.

Either, find a job that you love then it's not work or start your own business.

Find something that you do well and see if anyone is willing to pay for it. (This does not include sex!)
