I don't think that Time is a dimension guys.
It is a mathematical question.
Everything in this Universe is connected through a formula.
Once you know the formula you can reverse it.
Also you need to understand that everything in this universe has an opposite site.
How do we really know that the time is going forward?
Imagine two people.
One is here on earth and the other is on a star a million light-years away.
Now they both look to each other.
Who is in the past?
If time would be a dimension you could tell who is in the past!
There are mathematically only 3 Dimensions.
And the whole Universe is inside this Dimension.
If there is somewhere an edge to this dimension I don’t know.
All 3 Dimensions are ending in prime numbers.
If there would be a 4th Dimension than this must be Part of the other 3.
I would say that the 4th Dimension is the End of the Universe.
Mathematically it is not possible.
If there would be a physically dimension than that would destroy the mathematically dimensions and that would mean the end of everything.
I'm sorry guys but I think you have to rethink you simple Time answer.
The only way another dimension could be is in a mirror image.
Because it isn't a true image and can't harm the real 3 dimensions.
Take a marker pen and mark the equator around the ball.
Next mark in the south earth rotation and than do the same in the north.
Next cut the ball in half and put both halves onto a table.
What you see?
The rotation from the north is against the rotation in the south.
This is clearly visible.
But because of the fact that the south is mirrored from the north you need to do one thing more.
Watch the south half in the mirror.
Now you see that it actually goes into the right direction.
Every mirror image is the opposite of the reality.
Left is right and clockwise is counter clockwise.
A mirror image can only become a true picture if you watch it in a mirror.
Sorry for this long answer.

Time is the 4th dimension

There is a 4th spatial dimension if you like... you've asked this question in mathematics.

Mathematics allows us to create a 4th spatial dimension at 90degrees to the X, Y and Z axes of space that we know...

Have a look at the wikipedia links

Time is known as the fourth dimension. Well this was stated by a group of philosphers in the 19th century. When mathematicans argued that the three dimensions of space can be arranged perpendicular to each other, they(philosphers) argued that they could fill the gap caused by this fourth dimension. But one thing that lacks in this dimesion that you can't move about as you move in the other dimesions, but many mathematicans say that we move across time but just don't recognize it

Although time is thought of as a fourth dimension, it is not.

The plain answer to your question is that there is no fourth dimension we can easily understand. However, in theory there are infinitely many dimensions.

Einstein's theory of relativity implies that there is a fourth dimension, it is time. The other dimensions, the spatial ones or dimesnions in space are the length, width, and height.

Time has been established as the fourth dimension a long time ago (no pun intended).
Now, if your interest goes deeper than mere curiosity, look into string theory. String Theory stipulates many more dimensions.

yes, the 4th dimension is what we call time.

Certainly! It is time and with those four dimensions the world which our imperfect senses are aware of can be described.
